In Memory of Joseph Motaung

A video featuring a song from Jerusalema E Ncha in memory of the late Joseph Motaung affectionately referred to "Seletsoa" which we've been told that it means instrument. A moving song indeed.

We also have interviews and events videos which we will post. We will also premier our channel image on the youtube channel. Click on the logo above for easy access to the channel or follow this link http://www.youtube.com/thechoirchannel. Already on the channel are songs from Barorisi Ba Morena, Jerusalema E Ncha and Balatedi Ba Morena.

It's About The People!

This channel is entirely based on the premise of serving the people. In each Sunday, hundreds of choirs perform in concerts to audiences of two hundred to thousands. Whilst on Saturday nights choirs support each other all across the country in what is termed as "choir thanks giving events".

These events attract an amazing showcase of choir talent and it is riddled with healthy competition to ensure that guests leave happy and equally ecstatic. Part of our value preposition is to bring the MTV, E!, and VH1, type format of channel to the screen and deliver the same level of quality to this working class audience of men and women. This is commercial channel and will remain committed to ensure that its commercial decisions advance the quality of its content.

Welcome

Welcome to The Choir Channel blog. This is s basic music channel which offers interviews, biographies and lots of originally recorded music videos directed by a variety of talented film and TV individuals, who are specially selected to ensure a high standard of videos for the channel.

The Choir Channel finances all its video recordings to ensure a high standard of television entertainment and to also preserve and respect the craft of these choirs. These choirs have been singing this music since 1914 as our research has identified. We believe, with over 2,000 choirs ranging in size from 10 people to 150 people. The Choir Channel will offer viewers an original channel with great entertainment.  Our focus is on the music, the culture, the lifestyles and everything else the fans and what those who sing this music enjoy in life.
