After seeing The O’Jays perform I was taken back to one of the best albums I ever heard during the golden era of apostolic music.
Jerusalem
E Ncha released an album 1990 titled “Dira Dika Nhloya”. It is was one of the
four albums which send Jerusalema E Ncha into national popularity with so much
airplay it was crazy. The other three albums were “Re Boke Ka Pelo”, “Rea U
Boka Morena”, and “Suna Maru”.
I
remember watching Jerusalema E Ncha on Dumisani/Tumisang and could not believe
my eyes as they performed “Joko Ea Hao” and “Hale Lakatsa Hotseba”. The vocal
talent and musical affectation quality of the entire albums and both songs is
so super that am always listening for any choir which can developed anything of
the same standard yet original. Am still waiting.
This
is truly a classic with songs like: Batswasi Ba Batho, Thato, Alleluya, and Jesu
O Kgutletse.
