THECHOIRCHANNEL: INSIDEPOSTOLA™

Greetings!

Perhaps there is no song that truly captured the music of postola in the early days like the song “UYEZA, UJESU” by Barorisi Ba Morena in the late 70’s. The 80’s brought a slew of hits from the legends of apostolic gospel music.n But the late 80's and early 90's was owned by Jerusalema E Ncha, present tough competition for Barorisi.

Barorisi Ba Morena (Gallo) was the first group to find recording success,

followed closely by Jerusalema E Ncha (CCP/EMI) and

eventually Majalefa A Morena (RPM/Gallo)

These are the pioneers of POSTOLA – the music. The first groups to record and find commercial success "ka mmino oa moya, mmino oa baprofeta! Alleluya!

The three legends went on to record some of the most memorable albums under their respective labels. However, it was the late 80’s and early 90’s that the apostolic gospel music really exploded into a splendor of talent and musical master pieces in the form of new and old groups taking a more noticeable stand in the world of POSTOLA®.

Welcome to INSIDEPOSTOLA® on TheChoirChannel with me, John Baloyi. I will be bringing you opinion pieces, interviews with best voices and groups, and biographies/profiles.
